We introduce the show's topic, Peoria Promise, and its executive director Tara Gerstner. We discuss the genesis of Peoria Promise, how much it has grown and how many high school students have been sent to Illinois Central College tuition free because of the program. We also discuss the organization's funding needs. Also included is Kevin Kizer's culinary and literary segment. This week he gives some quick summaries of recently published books.
