In what has become a holiday tradition, Conklin's Barn II Theatre is presenting a holiday revue of music, comedy and merriment, now through New Year's Eve.

"Deck the Halls" will also have Wednesday night performances through the month of December.

The show is a fast-paced revue of music, comedy and audience participation that will fill the audience with the holiday spirit. "This year's revue is chock full of holiday music in a vast range of styles from traditional Christmas favorites to country, blue grass, jazz, gospel and sacred," said a news release from the theatre. "The show will also feature hilarious sketches, including a hysterical look at our favorite holiday parades and a visit to the North Pole where Santa is dealing with some elfin workplace issues. The audience has an opportunity to get in on the act as well."

The stage will be populated by the Barn's entire resident company throughout the evening, headed by Mary Simon, along with Dan Challacombe, Pat Gaik, Fred and Melanie Heskett, Chad Kirvan, Diann Thompson, Terri Whisenhunt, Dave Windsor, and April Wyant. The Barn also welcomes Jimmy LaHood to the company for his first show.

The production is directed and staged by Mary Simon with musical direction and arrangement by Kirvan and set design by Wyant.

Conklin's Barn II is known for its delicious buffet which, on evening performances, includes four main entrees featuring the Barn's renowned prime rib and fried chicken, with salad, homemade soup and cheese spread, and a choice of four taste-tempting, homemade desserts.

The cost of dinner and show are $35 on Wednesday and Thursday evening, $37 on Friday evening and Sunday brunch, and $39 on Saturday evening, including tax.

The Gala New Year's Eve performance that includes a pre-show comedy performance, hats, noisemakers and a prize-filled balloon drop to welcome in the new year, is $125 per couple.

No advance payment is required for regular performances. For reservations, call the box office at (309) 965-2545. For more information, visit the Barn on the internet at
