EVENTS FOR 150TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION YEAR

·         ALL-SCHOOL MASS & RECEPTION, April 19, 2013

Time: 9:30 am
Location: Peoria Notre Dame Gymnasium/Spalding Pastoral Center

An all-school Mass for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and visitors will be held at Peoria Notre Dame High School at 9:30 AM. A luncheon will be held at the Spalding Center following Mass. To reserve a table or seat for the luncheon, please contact Sharon Abraham.

·         PEORIA NOTRE DAME ALL SCHOOL ALUMNI REUNION, April 19,2013

Time: 6:00 pm – midnight
Location: Peoria Notre Dame High School Commons/Gymnasium

All of the graduates of Peoria Notre Dame High School are invited to celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary. Catch up with old friends as you enjoy “Chicken Thursday” served from 6:00-8:00 pm, followed by a night of music and memories. Cost for the night is only $20 (before April 5) or $25 at the door and it includes the meal, 2 drinks, and door prizes. A cash bar will be available. Contact Sharon Abraham to RSVP.

·         FULTON SHEEN DAY, May 10, 2013

Time: 9:30 am
Location: Peoria Notre Dame High School

The day will begin with an all-school Mass followed by a presentation of a special award to Msgr. Stanley Deptula. Father Deptula will speak to all the students, faculty and staff about the Venerable Fulton Sheen.

·         CATHOLIC EDUCATION DAY, May 16, 2013

Time: All Day
Location: Peoria Notre Dame High School

Students will celebrate the day in many ways, including a BBQ lunch and activities and competitions in the afternoon.

·         RIVER BOAT CRUISE, June 21, 2013

Time: 6:30 pm (2 hour tour, 1 hour on dock)
Location: Peoria River Front, 100 NE Water Street

Take in the beautiful Peoria skyline during an evening river boat cruise with alumni from Academy, Spalding, Bergan, and PND. Tickets are only $35 but are limited to 100. Cost includes exclusive use of the river boat during the cruise and heavy hors d’oeuvres (cash bar will be available). Please contact Sharon Abraham for reservations.

·         PEORIA MUSEUM RECEPTION/ALUMNI ART SHOW PRESENTATION, June 22, 2013

Time: 6:00 – 10:00 pm
Location: Peoria Riverfront Museum, 222 SW Washington Street

All Academy, Bergan, Spalding and PND alumni are invited to explore one of the newest gems in Downtown Peoria during a private reception at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Alumni are invited to participate in the art show. Ticket price is $40 and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Cracked Pepper, private reception and the use of all galleries, the planetarium and parking garage. Come take a walk back in time through Peoria’s History in “The Street” Gallery or test your skills and knowledge in the IHSA Peak Performance Center. Plus enjoy a video by Tim Irwin celebrating 150 Years of Catholic Secondary Education playing in the Dome Planetarium. A cash bar will be available. Reserve your ticket through Sharon Abraham. ·         PEORIA CHIEFS BASEBALL GAME, July 27, 2013

Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Peoria Chiefs Stadium, Peoria

Cheer on the Peoria Chiefs as they take on Kane County Cougars during an evening game at Peoria Chiefs Stadium concluding with an array of fireworks! Sections of seats have been reserved and tickets may be ordered online at www.peoriachiefs.com. (Click on tickets; buy tickets now; go to July 27, 2013 on calendar; click on Kane County Cougars; when special offer code appears type in CATH150; click submit; complete the information on the screen for number of tickets.) You may also contact Sharon Abraham at PND to purchase your ticket(s). Cost of one ticket is $8.00 and includes entrance to the game. Tickets cost $10.00 at the door. It will be a special night with recognition of the different schools and other surprises.

We are exploring the possibilities of bringing a special speaker to Peoria Notre Dame in August of 2013.

Cheer on your alma mater as the PND Fighting Irish take on long standing rival Richwoods Knights. Be sure to wear your favorite spirit wear!

·         MASS & RECEPTION, August 31, 2013

Time: 4:00 pm
Location: St. Mary’s Cathedral/Spalding Pastoral Center

Honor our past and celebrate our future together as the 150th Anniversary Celebration comes to a conclusion. Unite in thanksgiving for the gift of Catholic Education during Holy Mass at 4:00 pm at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in the Diocese of Peoria. A reception, catered by Coyote Creek, will be held immediately afterwards at the Sheen Center. The top art displays from the alumni art show as well as from current students will be available for viewing in the diocesan museum. The Fulton Sheen Museum will also be open. About the Author
