Holidazzle Open House in Morton
The Fifth Annual Holidazzle weekend
presented by the Morton Tourism
Association will have merchant open
houses and other events all day.
There will be a Christmas craft sale
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Morton United
Methodist Church, 420 N. Tennessee
Ave., and a Stop & Shop Open House
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Morton
Community Church of Christ, 300 N.
Main. Village merchants will be open
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Take a Fantastic Journey
The Peoria Symphony Orchestra will
present “Fantastic Journey” during
an 8 p.m. concert at the Peoria Civic

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Performs
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra will
perform holiday music beginning at
7:30
p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center.
Tickets range from $33 to $60.50 and
can be purchased at the Civic Center
box office or by calling (800) 745-
3000.
A portion of the proceeds will
be donated to the Children’s Hospital
of Illinois.
Home for the Holidays
Conklin’s Barn II Dinner Theatre’s
annual “Home for the Holidays”
show, a mix of comedy and popular
holiday music, opens. It runs
Thursday through Saturday nights
and for brunch on Sundays for seven

Giving Community Thanks
The 37th Annual Community
Thanksgiving Luncheon sponsored
by the Peoria Area Chamber of
Commerce will begin at 11:30 a.m.
at the Par-A-Dice Hotel. Dan Daly,
west regional president of Busey
Bank, will give the Community
Narrative. The Tom Connor Award
for Community Service will be
presented. The cost is $45 for
chamber members and $65 for non-

Winter Garden Tours
Candlelight walks at Luthy Botanical
Garden, 2520 N. Prospect Ave.
Continuing through Dec. 21. Free to

George Jones in Concert
George Jones will perform at 8 p.m.
in the Peoria Civic Center Theatre.

FOLEPI’s Grand Entrance!
The 27th Annual Festival of Lights
Parade will begin at 5:45 p.m.
and make the three-mile trek up
Washington Road and through
downtown East Peoria. The parade
was moved to the Saturday before
Thanksgiving this year.

Visit FOLEPI’s Winter Wonderland
He FOLEPI Holiday Light Show, the
annual two mile drive through Winter
Wonderland starting at the top of
Springfield Road hill in East Peoria,
opens at 5 p.m. and is open each
night through Jan. 1, 2013. Costs
are $10 per car and more for larger
vehicles.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town
The 125th Annual Peoria Santa Claus
Parade will begin at 10:15 a.m., with
88
units making their way through
downtown Peoria. Presented by
Peoria Area Community Events,
(
PACE), it is the longest continuously
running Santa Claus parade in the
country.
Yule Like Peoria
Yule Like Peoria, the annual walk
around Downtown Peoria, with
refreshments, events and viewing of
holiday decorations, will begin at 6
p.m. with the annual Christmas Tree
lighting in Courthouse Plaza.
Mickey’s Music Festival
Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival
will present three shows at the
Peoria Civic Center. Show times
are 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets
range from $20 to $52 and can be
purchased at the Civic Center box
office.
