 st  adhere to the theme. <strong><u>No Santa’s on  floats or walking</u></s
 trong><strong> (There is only one Santa and he rides in the last  float). <
 /strong> <strong>ALL  PARTICIPANTS</strong>, whether walking or riding on f
 loats, <strong>MUST BE COSTUMED</strong>.  Coats must  be worn <strong><u>u
 nder </u></strong>costumes.  Please refer to the attached regulations  whic
 h must be met prior to the start of the parade or your unit will not be  al
 lowed to participate.  The parade is to  entertain the children and adults 
 along the route and at home.</p>                    <p>Band competition  is
  under the direction of Dr. David Vroman, Director of Bands at Bradley Univ
 ersity.   Bands will compete for the best unit in each  class. The Grand Ch
 ampion Traveling Trophy was won by Richwoods High School  in 2009.</p><p>Th
 e parade is telecast live  on WMBD-TV Channel 31 sponsored by South Side Tr
 ust and Saving Bank for the  past <strong>53 Years</strong>.  The telecast 
 area will be on the corner of  Main and Adams (in front of South Side Bank)
 .   </p>Please join in the festivities by attending the <strong><em>Yule  L
 ike Peoria  Walk-a-bout,</em></strong> which starts at 6:00 PM that night w
 ith the lighting of  the Peoria County Courthouse Lights followed by an Ice
  Carving Contest and a  variety of entertainment in many downtown stores an
 d at the Riverfront.  There are refreshments at most businesses.
