The Couri Center will be hosting a special “In The Herb Garden” Cooking Class on June 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and includes dinner. The “In The Herb Garden” Cooking Class will feature Jan Powers from the Peoria Herb Guild. She will show how you can add flavor to your favorite foods with wonderful herbs from the garden, while lowering fat, sugar and sodium. She will also reveal some of her tips for growing herbs in containers in your garden. Along with the cooking presentation, there will be a local Farmer’s Market on-site at the event.

“This is the second in our series of four cooking classes focused on healthy eating at home,” said Dr. Michele Couri, founder of the Couri Center. “Healthy eating is at the core of healthy living and our classes will show that it can still taste great.”
