Popular Middle School Author Lauren Baratz-Logsted at Peoria Public Library Lauren Baratz-Logsted, popular middle school author of the Sisters Eight series, will appear at Peoria Public Library Lincoln Branch at 11:00 a.m. and at North Branch at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18. The author will have books available for purchase and signing. This year Lauren will release The Sisters 8 Book 9: The Final Battle...For Now on August 7. The series tells the story of eight sisters who parents have vanished and of the talents and gifts each of them have and must use to find their parents. Young readers anxiously await each new installment. The author writes for adults and teens as well and all ages will enjoy meeting her. Both programs are free and open to the public.
