Roll In, Roll Up, Roll Out: Drive-through flue shot clinic

The Peoria City/County Health Department will target two major Public Health Issues at a Drive-Through Seasonal Flu Shot Clinic for adults and a free Lead Paint Materials Test Clinic on Wednesday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Exposition Gardens in Peoria.

The Drive-Through Flu Shot Clinic is for adults over age 19. The cost of the flu shot at the Peoria City/County Health Department Drive-Through Clinic is $25. Cash, check, or Medicare accepted. In case of rain, the Drive-Through Clinic will change to a Walk-In Clinic and be held inside Exposition Gardens.

A free Lead Paint Materials Test Clinic will run in conjunction with the Flu Shot Clinic. Toys, children's costume jewelry, antique and ceramic cookware, lead crystal decanters, and even windows can be brought in for lead paint testing with the X-ray fluorescence analyzer, a gun-like device that gives instant readings on lead content.
