Peoria Players Theatre announces auditions for the regional premiere production of Titanic: The Musical directed by Steve Bortolotti.  Auditions will be held on Friday, October 21 at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 both days at 1:00.  All auditions will be held at University United Methodist Church, 2818 N. University.  The cast consists of 40 actors and actresses of various ages, doubling in a variety of fictional and non-fictional roles.  Titanic is a musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone that opened on Broadway in 1997. It won five Tony Awards including the award for Best Musical. Titanic is set on the ocean liner RMS Titanic which sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912. The score is both beautiful and haunting. For auditions, please prepare a song that best displays your range and bring your sheet music; an accompanist will be provided.  Performance dates are February 3-12.
