The farmer’s market at Junction City is now open Wednesdays and Saturdays at the corner of Knoxville and Avenue and Prospect Road. It will be open through September.

The Junction City Farmer’s Market is a joint venture between Junction City and the Peoria Heights Farmer’s Market, which formerly was open Wednesday evenings at Heritage Square in the Heights. The merger enables the two markets to offer more options to the local community, said a news release from Junction Ventures.

The market is located on the northwest corner of the Junction City lot, a site that offers easy accessibility and parking. It has more than 18 farm vendors selling locally grown produce, pastured meats and eggs, flowers, herbs, breads and other local products, the news release said.

Junction City Farmer’s Market also will have local artists displaying and selling their wares, live music, specialty vendors and more entertainment.

The market is open from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
